Mom's Unwanted Opinion

Latley Max has been trying to be a REALLY good "colorer" and only color inside the lines and make everything look nice. After every picture he colors he holds it up for approval and I always tell him it looks "excellent" or "incredible" or "fantastic". - Today Max and I were coloring our little hearts out at the kitchen table while mom was mopping the floors. Max had colored a dinosaur that he was particularly proud of and held it up asking "how does it look?!" right at the time I was going to answer, my mom ((who hadn't heard Max's question)) began commenting on her mopping job, calling it "slippery, slimy, sloshy, and so-so". Max, thinking she was talking about his coloring job was NOT happy at all. He screamed "NO!" and gave her a very dirty look. - Of course my mom and I had to laugh at the mis-communication.
After explaining to him that she was not saying that about his picture, he was once again content. - Looks like we've got a little DaVinci on our hands!
