Theme Day! - Solar System

Its finally time for another THEME DAY! -- Since I have been visiting this weekend, the boys have been absolutely begging me for a theme day. I was more than happy to oblige. :) This time the theme was: Solar System. The boys had an absolute blast creating their own planets, decorating alien invasions, eating Solar Toast (eggs in a basket) and watching Wall E and Star Wars Episode I. I had fun watching them think creatively and enjoy each others company.

((Both Hinckley and Max always take art projects very seriously. Here they are decorating their own planets.))

((These are their finished planets. Hinckley named his planet The Best Planet Ever. The creatures that live on his planet are: aliens, monsters, astronauts, robots, and everything, and the language they speak is Kamakenamoo. Maxwell's planet was first named eye and then The Best Planet Ever, and then he finally decided on Mars 2. The creatures that live on his planet are Invaders and the climate is frequently wind stormy, dirty and sandy with big hills.))

((While we were eating our Solar Toast, the boys were too excited to actually eat much. They spent more time singing songs and playing with their food. At one point, Max had a piece of egg on his fork and he was flinging it around everywhere. Suddenly a piece of egg came flying my way. At that point I decided they had eaten all they were going to eat and that it was time to move on to the next activity.))
((The boys loved Wall E and The Phantom Menace. The best part about the movies though, were the treats! They ate Milky Ways, Starburst, Moon Cookies (Nilla Wafers) and cheese.))
I'm glad I could be here to experience the Solar System Theme Day with the boys. :) We had a blast!

Much love,
